The Wedding Package and What's Included

The service is generally a civil service although religious services can be arranged in most destinations. You can get married at a hotel, on the beach or in a church or chapel but there are alternatives like exchanging vows on ski's or underwater!

Generally your package will include the following, however, the packages differ by destination and by hotel: -

When you book your wedding, the operator will assign you a wedding co-ordinator to help you with all the above.

Tip: Many hotels in exotic destinations perform more than one ceremony a day and you're likely to attract attention from the other guests. If you prefer a more private ceremony you may want to consider a quiet time of year or a less commercialised destination.

When to book

Once you've made the decision to get married abroad, make sure that you book a minimum of 12 weeks before departure to allow enough time for arrangements to be made.

How long to stay

It's better to stay for at least 2 weeks because most destinations require that you are a resident in that country for up to 5 days before you marry. There will also be a lot of paperwork to be completed once you arrive, which can take up to 3 days. You'll also want to make sure that you can relax and have some all important "honeymoon" time after the wedding.

What to wear

If it's going to be hot, brides should swap an intricate bridal gown for a light and delicate strappy dress. A popular option for grooms are lightweight suits or linen trousers and casual shirts, you may also want to lose the tie. Remember that you're going to be wearing your outfits for a long time so you need to make sure that you'll still be comfortable later on. Bridges getting married on the beach should choose flat or low heeled shoes, heels will only sink in the sand.
