About Freedom Travel

Freedom Travel acts as a booking agent on behalf of a number of approved Tour Operators and Suppliers of holiday accommodation, flights and ancillary products.

Once your holiday booking has been confirmed, you have entered into a contract and are subject to the Tour Operators and Suppliers terms and conditions. It is important that you familiarise yourself with these conditions prior to travelling.

Freedom Travel is a member of the Association of British Travel Agents: registration number − J9977.

Important Information

Unless otherwise stated, Freedom Travel of 53 Strand Street, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 2RJ, will act only as an agent in respect of all bookings made on your behalf.

We will accept no liability in relation to any contact you enter into, or for any services or arrangements you purchase ("arrangements") or for any acts or omissions of any supplier or Tour Operator(s) or other person or persons, party or parties connected with any arrangements. For all arrangements, your contract will be with the Tour Operator and Supplier of the arrangements.

If you have booked a package holiday, you have booked your holiday with a Tour Operator and are therefore bound by the relevant Tour Operators terms and conditions. These can be found in your Tour Operators brochure or on their website.

If you book a Tailor made of Dynamically Packaged holiday, it means you will book your holiday with more than one supplier. Therefore, you must be aware that each supplier has their own individual terms and conditions, and must refer to the relevant Suppliers website or brochure. Should either your flight or accommodation arrangements be amended or cancelled by the Supplier, Freedom Travel will endeavour to make every effort to provide suitable alternative arrangements on your behalf. However, Freedom Travel will not be held liable for any financial loss.

Each component of your booking will be charged as a separate transaction, and therefore, each part will be separately identified on your booking confirmation.

Where your booking consists of one or more components from different suppliers, you will not usually receive an in-resort representative and you will normally be expected to contact the supplier by telephone in the event of any problem.

Please ensure that you are aware of all suppliers contact details prior to travel, and perhaps take them with you in case you do need to contact them.

If we are booking a flight or flights on your behalf with an airline, which is a low cost carrier, you should be aware that such carriers normally operate independently of each other and are not normally very flexible. They may charge more for amendments once the booking has been made and may levy severe cancellation charges.

To re-iterate, when we book a flight with a low cost carrier on your behalf, you are agreeing to the low cost carriers´ booking conditions including those setting out their amendment and cancellation charges which are available on their website. Please be advised at the time of booking that some destinations do require advanced passenger information.

Data Protection

In order to confirm you booking, it is necessary for us to take certain information from you. This will include name, address and financial details. With the exception of your name and any medical or dietary requirements, all information given to us will be kept confidential and not passed on to any third party.

Pricing

All prices advertised on our website are subject to availability and are applicable at the time of booking. Freedom Travel reserve the right to amend pricing at any time without reference to any individual or booking made. Holiday pricing changes dynamically and whilst Freedom Travel makes every effort to ensure that prices are up to date, a very small number of holidays may not be available at the advertised price. All holidays incorrectly priced will be removed from our website as soon as we are made aware.

Please note that similar offers may be available on websites and brochures offered by other agents and suppliers, therefore Freedom Travel cannot accept any responsibility for offers or information provided by third parties.

Booking Charges

There will be no charges made for debit card payments, however, a Credit Card charge of 2.5% will be applied to all payments made by Visa, MasterCard and Amex card transactions. The cost of this will be included in the final total amount.

What is included in your booking?

You are advised that it is a prerequisite of travel that you are adequately insured and it is a booking condition of all Tour Operator and Suppliers that appropriate travel insurance is in place prior to travel.

Travel insurance is not included in the standard cost of your package, however, you will be offered insurance at the time of booking for reservations made over the telephone. You are also reminded that any cover given under an insurance policy issued by Freedom Travel is only valid once payment for the insurance policy has been made in full. You are not obliged to purchase our travel insurance, but it will be necessary for you to inform us of the alternative arrangements you have made, as this information may be required by the tour operator, or supplier.

Your in flight meals and other non compulsory meals may not be included in the price as this does vary by supplier. In addition you should check your flight provider for their current luggage allowances.

Deposits and Payments

Once you have made your initial payment, and your booking has been confirmed, you have entered into a contract with the tour operator or suppliers. Both parties will be bound by the conditions prevalent at the time of booking. The initial amount payable may vary according to your contracted Tour Operator and supplier and will take into consideration the proximity of the date of your departure plus booking fees and insurance costs where applicable.

You are reminded that should you choose to cancel your holiday, you will be liable for any additional administration fees levied by the Tour Operators and Suppliers.

The person making the initial booking guarantees payment of the total amount due on behalf, and with the consent of all other persons who are party to the booking.

All balances must be paid in full at least 15 weeks prior to your departure date. Your booking confirmation will show the date when full and final settlement is expected. Balance reminder letters will be issued when necessary. Failure to make payment within the stipulated timescale may lead to the cancellation of your booking and possible legal action may be taken to recover the full balance due, plus associated costs.

Payment can be made by the following methods:

Amendments and Cancellations

You are advised that any amendments made to your booking for example, names, dates etc will incur administration charges, however, this may vary depending on the Tour Operator or Suppliers.

You will be notified of the exact charges applicable at the time of amendment. You are advised that Freedom Travel is not bound to comply with any request for amendment of cancellation. Any amendments or cancellations must be confirmed in writing and sent to Freedom Travel by post, email or fax.

We cannot accept any verbal requests for changes or cancellations.

Proof of posting is not proof of receipt, therefore you are advised to confirm all changes to our Customer Service team by telephone.

Please ensure that you have received written confirmation of any changes to your booking prior to departure. If you are adding additional persons to your booking, this is done on the understanding that they fully understand and accept all booking terms and conditions.

Cancellation of your booking will incur a fee from the Tour Operator and Suppliers. This may differ from the deposit paid and will be dependent on the proximity of the cancellation date, to the date of the departure. Any difference between the cancellation fee and the deposit paid will be payable in full with immediate effect. In the even of non-payment, legal action will be taken to recover all monies due to us plus associated legal costs.

Accommodation Ratings and Standards

All ratings are as provided by the relevant Tour Operator and Suppliers. These are intended to give a guide to the services and facilities you should expect from your accommodation. Standards and ratings may vary between countries, as well as between Tour Operator and suppliers. Freedom Travel cannot guarantee the accuracy of any rating given and no warranty is given or implied.

Safety standards in some countries may differ from those applicable in the United Kingdom. All properties comply with local regulations. Freedom Travel strongly recommend that all customers seek to minimise their exposure to injury by familiarising themselves with the relevant safety information, such as fire evacuation procedures etc..

Requests

Special requests such as a pool view room, sea view, low floor etc.. is at the discretion of the accommodation provider. Although all requests will be forwarded to the appropriate Tour Operator or Suppliers, Freedom Travel is unable to guarantee or confirm any requests taken.

If you require airport or airline assistance (e.g. due to disability), please ensure you make us aware at the earliest possible opportunity.

Travel Advice

It is your responsibility to hold a valid passport (and visa, where applicable) prior to travelling. British Citizens are required to hold a full 10 year passport with at least 6 months validity upon the date of your return from holiday.

All information provided by Freedom Travel is given in good faith. Whilst our staff will try to help on matters relating to travel advice, we cannot be held responsible for any problems arising should you choose not to read, or fully check the information given.

Complaints

Freedom Travel is a travel provider based in the Isle of Man, and is a member of the Freedom Travel Consortium.

Whilst abroad should you encounter any problems, you should always contact your contracted Tour Operator or suppliers in the first instance. If you are unable to resolve the matter whilst in the resort, please write to our Customer Service Manager, within 28 days of your return. Whilst we will endeavour to answer all queries as soon as possible, you are advised that any problems relating to flights, accommodation, etc will have to be forwarded to the relevant supplier with whom you are contracted.

All information given by Freedom Travel in respect of your holiday booking is as provided by the supplier. We will make every effort to ensure that this information is current, but cannot be held responsible for any information given in good faith that is subsequently found to be incorrect.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important to Freedom Travel, and for that reason, we never collect or maintain any information on our website from those we actually know are under the age of 13.
