The Magic Kingdom is the main theme Park of the Walt Disney World Resort. Cartoon characters and nostalgic visions of Americas history make up its 107 acres. The park is made up of 7 lands evoking a particular theme or era, such as fairy tales, the future, and the Wild West. Combining the park together are breath taking parades, street performers and interactive Disney characters that are ready to greet their guests.
Disney hotel guests have early entry privileges on two days a week Thursday and Sunday so avoid the park on those days unless youre a Disney hotel guest. If you are, plan to reach the park entrance one and a half hours before the official opening time. This will allow you to enjoy Fantasyland and Tomorrowland for an hour before the rest of Magic Kingdom opens. On arrival you will be given a leaflet showing the lands and rides and listing show and parade times. A notice board at the top of Main Street USA also displays this information and gives a list of waiting times at various attractions. Getting around the Park is relatively easy as the lands branch off from the central hub, Cinderellas Castle. Horse trams and buses shuttle guests between the different lands as well as a steam train which runs around the perimeter of the park.
Epcot is an acronym meaning Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, and was Walt Disneys dream of a technologically advanced community. It was intended to represent Walt Disneys vision of the future. However, since its opening in 1982 the park has undergone several changes to its original concept. Epcot is now divided into two halves; Future World with an emphasis on entertainment and World Showcase which represents the art and culture of different countries around the world.
Epcot is much larger than Magic Kingdom which means it will take you more than a day to explore the whole park. World Showcase is not normally open till 11am so the early morning crowds fill Future World and then gradually disperse between the two parks later on in the morning. Arriving early is the key to a successful visit in any Disney Park. If you have early morning privileges aim to arrive one hour and a half before the official opening time.

The largest of the theme parks, Disneys Animal Kingdom is five times the size of the Magic Kingdom. There are real animals to see in this park rather than animatronic creatures. A unique attraction to this theme park is a real life safari tour.
This park is divided into 7 lands: The Oasis, Discovery Island, Dinoland USA, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Asia, and Rafikis Planet Watch. Navigating through this park is also quite different from the other parks. When you initially enter the park you arrive at a foliage festooned area, called The Oasis, offering several routes to the parks central hub, Safari village. The Oasis contains many surprises which are often missed by the visitors who rush through to reach the attractions.

Disney MGM studios was launched in 1989 as a working film and TV production facility. In 2004 however, animation department was closed down and the production department abandoned. Despite these changes, the park still remains a popular tourist destination, with quality shows and thrilling rides based on Disney and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer films and TV shows. Essentially, this park is a true tribute to Hollywood during its golden age.
